20. Dull. Bumbling college student.

I blog entirely too much about Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad, and I'm wildly in love with Richard Harrow and Jesse Pinkman.

My other interests include things like Six Feet Under, The Wire, Star Trek, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, film, science, psychology, history, Elliott Smith, jazz, Harry Potter, etc.

Occasionally I write really long, boring posts. Occasionally I make stuff. Often I complain. Like I said, I'm pretty dull.

Hey, thank you so much! :) I am always very happy to have more Richard fans around! :D

THIS IS THE MOMENT I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR

I CANNOT

petiteberries asked: Hiiii! I was wondering if I could possibly tempt you to spoil me with Richard thoughts because I miss your posts like whoah. Also, I'd really really like to write a fic for you if you ever have anything you want to see.

Hey! :) Well thank you! I miss writing new posts, and I really miss having more Richard in my life! It’s just hard without new inspiration/episodes since I’m not nearly imaginative enough to write stuff out of the blue, and I simply fail when it comes to anything creative like fic!

The last few Richard-related thoughts I’ve had in the past couple of weeks include stuff like this:

I was thinking about his conversation with Angela in the fourth episode of season two before she sketches him, and how he was talking about how he used to draw as a child, and I was suddenly really curious about what it was that he would draw, and I wonder why he stopped. I wonder if he stopped because of the war or if he stopped long before that. I just would love to see what kinds of ideas he’d had as a child. Now we’ve seen his scrapbooks, which are creative in a sense, but I’m sure that his creative endeavors were rather different before the war.

I still have hopes that Richard and Meyer will become friends, whether those hopes will be fruitless or not, haha. I’ve been thinking about Richard’s involvement in season three a lot lately, and I really, really hope that they’ll give him something to do. I have this huge fear that they’ll make him bumble around and that his storyline will be stale and meandering without a lot of development, and then he’ll just die. I guess that is the pessimist in me! I really hope that they won’t do this, though. It’s time for Richard to do something again. I can understand being depressed and lost after having lost your only friends, and it wouldn’t be unrealistic to have him bumble around only to die, honestly, but it also does not make for good storytelling. I really hope that he’ll use Jimmy and Angela’s deaths as a catalyst to go out and do something. It’d be nice if he chose a different path. There really isn’t much keeping him in Atlantic City, and it’d be neat if he maybe went back to Chicago or even tried a new city (New York, Philly…). There are so many directions he can go into, and I just hope that his potential won’t be wasted because he is just SUCH a unique character, and obviously I love him so much.

On that note, a fic with Richard and Meyer being friends or something would be really cool if you’re up for something like that. It’s really nice of you to want to write me something, so thanks a lot! You’re a great writer, so I’m sure that whatever you write will be lovely. :)

If either of these two walked up to me and asked me to be his valentine, I’d accept. ;)

petiteberries asked: Please tell me your Richard Meyer feelings. Because I want them to be a bromance.

I’m so glad that you do too!

I just think that they’d potentially make a good pair since, like I briefly said on the confessions page, they have always struck me as somewhat similar in a few ways. So far on the show (I definitely don’t know the real Meyer Lansky’s history enough to be talking about him), they’ve both been kind of…in the background. They’re significant characters as well as integral parts to what they do, but they’re a little quieter. They seem to prefer to watch/listen, but when they do open their mouths, people listen. Although they might do these things for different reasons, their approaches are so similar.

I like to think of Meyer/Lucky and Richard/Jimmy as somewhat similar dynamics as well. Meyer is a lot more reserved than Lucky. Lucky has the ‘big’ personality, but without Meyer being there to ground him from time to time, who knows what would happen? I see something similar with Richard and Jimmy. Richard is a lot more reserved than Jimmy, and Richard often brings Jimmy back down to earth…or at least tries to. Maybe I’ve looked into it too much or incorrectly, but this is just kind of what I see. :)

Plus…they’d just be so cute as friends! I like to picture tall, lanky Richard walking in to Babette’s or something with tiny little Meyer. I also like to picture ridiculous things like them having a little book club together where they’d meet once a week to discuss whatever book they’d chosen to read. I should probably stop now! :P

Richard Harrow: knowing that he will never see his closest friend again.

Richard Harrow, Boardwalk Empire
Jesse Pinkman, Breaking Bad

My favorite fictional characters of 2011.

hesharp asked: Hey chick! Finished my latest art...hope you like it. (Hint, dashboard view won't allow you to see it full size, gotta go to my page and click it to see detail, or to my DA.) Take it easy!

Hey!

Ahhhh I am once again SO blown away by your talent! It’s beautiful as always. You are most definitely doing a wonderful job of keeping Richard’s spirit alive (and keeping the spirits up of the Harrowin’ addicts) while the show is on hiatus!

Everyone should check it out here
