Perhaps that’s been a source of my recent angst…
It was a good show, and I can see why people were disappointed that it only lasted for one season. The ending is good, but it definitely leaves you yearning for more.
It really made me miss high school, actually. My high school experience was totally and completely different from most of the characters’ experiences in the show. I wish that I’d goofed off a bit more in high school, but I was extremely rigid and always followed the rules and was just your average ‘nerdy’ girl who kept to herself and was involved with academic clubs and whatnot.
My favorite character in the show is definitely Brian Krakow. I guess he’s the one I could relate to the most, but I just really liked him, and I always found myself wishing that people would just be kinder to him. After Brian, I really liked Rickie, and then probably Angela. I didn’t care at all for Rayanne, to be honest, and I didn’t really like Jordan either. He was cute, yeah, and I totally understand having ridiculous crushes in junior high and high school, but I just thought he was kind of a jerk. Angela’s parents were really interesting and I liked that we got to see so much of them off on their own. A lot of ‘teen’ shows or shows that are mostly geared toward teens rarely show the parents doing much more than disciplining or whatever, and I liked that the parents were given their own well-developed lives.
Anyway, I liked the show overall. It was nice to watch something a little lighter after having watched Breaking Bad, The Wire, etc. I watch too many shows about organized crime, haha.
at 8 years old that...so much, because...wasnt so...
